Just curious. I never realized how common this was before.

We're lucky. My daycare provides breakfast, morning snack, lunch and an afternoon snack. It's an in-home daycare and she's on the food program.

When I just had Jake we used an in-home daycare provider who provided everything, even all drinks. It was fantastic! She fed them great meals (and some days she gave them better things than I did). Anyway, we moved and it just didn't work out to send the boys to an in-home center when I went back to work after having Gabe. I love our center but I get frustrated that they don't provide meals sometimes. It's just extra work at night, you know? Sara

The center I use provides morning snack, a hot lunch and afternoon snack. Thank goodness he gets one good meal a day! LOL

Michael's daycare provides breakfast (if the kids are their an hour or so before breakfast is served, they get goldfish to tie them over), mid-morning snack (not positive about this), lunch and and an afternoon snack. That includes milk and juice.
When Mikey went to his auntie, who is an in-home provider, she provided everything else but breakfast. I would send him a container of breakfast and she'd heat it and feed it to him. That was only one meal to worry about so it wasn't too bad but would mean extra work for me.
BA, I'm embarrassed to admit this but, I think the healthiest meal of the day for Mikey is at school!

My dd is watched by my sister and I would have to say that she has tried things that I probably would have never given her. Every once in awhile she will tell me that she got to have cold pizza for breakfast which she loves LOL!!

I provided everything for the baby until she was able to eat 100% table food. Now I only send cut-up fruit for snack, mostly because our provider just had a baby and I want to make things easier for her so she doesn't have to cut everything up for the baby.
She provides everything for all the kids though. Her mom cooks a hot lunch for the kids everyday. They are religious and keep kosher, so they are particular about what is brought in for the kids.

I pack lunches for my two, but on Thursday it is PIZZA DAY, so I just send them with $1.50 ea and a snack to supplement their pizza. They provide morning and afternoon snacks & beverages. I really hate having to make lunches for them (does that make me a bad mommy?)

our daycare has a cook onsite!! I love it as they ALWAYS serve a vegetable with lunch (not that that means they EAT it everytime) I too think my kids get their healthiest meal of the day sometimes for lunch. They post the lunch schedule every two weeks. It's great. They have items like Beef Stew, Shephards Pie, vegetable soup, pasta, Veal.....definitely a wide variety. I have a hard enough time getting the baby's bottles ready in the AM (they don't provide that)...I can't imagine getting their breakfast, lunch and snacks too! S
