We are having a CARS theme party and this is what I have planned: - I made tickets with photos of the different characters on them that the children will get as they arrive. The ticket matches a place card with the photo of the car on it.
- Made posters of the different cars to decorate and bought CARS plates/napkins.
- I made color books using Ramone's coloring book from disney.go.com/disneypictures/cars/ and got some crayons and markers for the kids to color when they arrive
- I got two of the shake-n-race Lightening McQueen cars and got a long cardboard box to have drag races. I also got metals to give the heat winners. (all the kids get one in their goody bag too) The winner gets one of the cars and ds gets the other.
- Play red light green-light
- Play Hot Rod. Basicly hot potato with a car instead. However is holding the car when the music stops steps out to cheer the others on.
- For the cake, I had the bakery do a race theme and then I'm going to add a couple of the cars we got from McDonalds to the cake. Believe it or not they didn't have a CARS theme already. Sam's Club has CARS cupcakes you can order.
- For goody bags, I have matchbox cars (for the boys) playdough and pink notepads (for the girls), CARS blower, Metals, stickers (CARS for boys, Princess for girls), activity coloring books.
This is a great resource for photos, etc.: disney.go.com/disneypictures/cars/
