The closer this trip gets, the more I worry about exactly how I'm going to do alone with the two of them.
Here's my latest dillema:
I'm checking 1 carseat, and taking 1 on the plane. I'm checking the double stroller. Do I put the double stroller and the carseat in 1 large duffle bag? The bag is a little big for them. Or do I pick up a couple nylon bags? And why can't I find those anywhere?

I don't have any advice for you, but wanted to say that you are VERY brave! I thought I was doing well just taking them both to Target by myself yesterday, lol!

Don't you need the stroller for the airport? That might be easier than one walking and slinging the other.

Nick will be riding in the sit n stroll, which is a carseat and a stroller together. I'm borrowing it from a friend. While it works great for airports, once we arrive I'll just be using it as a carseat. Danni will be in the sling or bijorn, not sure yet. Her carseat will be checked.
Ad you are brave for taking the two of them to Target!

Yikes. You are brave. I still worry about traveling with two with hubby. I'd try to get them in one bag because the less bags you have to keep track of the better since isn't your stroller a really lightweight one? You really don't have to put the stroller in a bag if you don't want to though. We've checked ours without one and it was fine. They have bags that fit carseats at baby stores that have wheels too. We got one and it's nice to have. Wish we were closer and you could borrow mine.
Make sure to tell them you want to board first because not all airlines ask anymore.

When I check carseats I always put it in a large "Lawn and Leaf" trash bag, this keeps it clean and dry. Bring an extra along for the trip home.
Don't check the stroller, it is a lifesaver through the airport. Gate-check it, they'll take it as soon as you go to get on the plane. Carry as little as possible on the plane with you so you aren't too weighted down.
Also, check your bags at the curb-side check in if possible so you and the kids can go straight to the gate.
Don't worry, it won't be as bad as you think!

Well, from my recent trip with two, my only advice is to be really organized. Have groups of stuff that you can just put in the seat pocket and grab for the kids. My older (almost 3) didn't really like the DVD player, he had a hard time with the headphones, so have a backup plan for that. I had a lot of candy with me. The little one (10 months) was the bigger handful.
You could always give them a little Benedryl if you are ok with that. It also fights motion sickness and should relax them.

I'm single since my 3rd baby was born 2 years ago and I travel with the 3 of them all the time. You can bring the stroller right to the plan gate and they board it for you. You carry on the seat. I also do driving trips, up to 7 hours, and just want to say that ladies, you can do it! Traveling with kids gets easier as they get used to it too. Mine now are 8,6 and 2 but even the 2 year old wheels a piece of luggage along and we all are pretty good about getting in and out of cars, hotels, airports , etc..
Yes, candy and little activty books are great to keep them quiet. DS hand held games too. (even the 2 year old can watch a movie on it) Dont stress and Have fun!
