What do you do? I'm contemplating not putting one up this year because I have a feeling my 9-month old won't leave it alone. But I don't really want to skip it entirely either. Any ideas? I've heard of peole who hang them from the ceiling, lol. Not sure if I'm up for that...

We put ours up already with our 15 month old (who is the naughty one). She has been tempted, but not super interested. I think the fact it is prickley is a big deterent We put the breakable ornaments toward the top.... So far so good! Amy

We put ours in our living room which is off limits to the boys unless they are with us so it works out ok. I don't think it would work as well if it was in our family room.

Well I ended up deciding against it. But I put up this small 2-foot thing we had in storage (I put it on a high endtable so the baby can't reach it). My 3-year old is plenty impressed with it so I guess that's what counts!

I think I did a tabletop one year for this very reason.
We're putting ours up this weekend, should be interesting with the crazy 1 year old!
