I saw this on the food channel the other day and I think I might make it for an appetizer for Thanksgiving this year.
1 red pepper cut into strips 1 yellow pepper cut into strips olive oil 1 baguette gorgonzola cheese fresh basil 1/2 tsp sugar
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Cut the baguette into 1/2 inch or smaller slices. Put them on a sheet pan and brush with olive oil. Place in the oven and bake for 7-10 minutes.
Heat 2 tbs olive oil in a pan and saute the peppers until soft about 12 minutes. Sprinkle sugar over peppers in the last two minutes. Stir in the basil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Top each baguette slice with some of the pepper mixture and a little bit of gorgonzola. Place in the oven for 1-2 minutes until cheese melts.
Serve immeadiately.
