If you have a baby that likes to be swaddled, this is worth the money. My MIL even made us extra-large receiving blankets but our little one still managed to wriggle her arms out of those. She can't wriggle out of the Miracle Blanket and seems to sleep better in it (she doesn't startle herself awake). Now, why didn't I invent this?? That sounds really cool! I'll have to remember that for the next one. I was a terrible swaddler. Of course my daughter always wanted her arms free anyway

Mine both wanted nothing to do with swaddling.

Actually I thought both my girls preferred their arms free too because they struggled to get them out when they were swaddled (I ALWAYS left my oldest one's out and started doing that with this one too). Turns out all babies do that! This baby wouldn't sleep unless she was being held, and if you have that problem, I definitely recommend trying the blanket. It helps them feel more secure and prevents them from waking themselves up when their arms flail from the startle reflex. I was desperate and read this on their website: Most babies squirm quite a bit when swaddled, especially at first. This does not mean they don't "like" it. The fact is, very young babies don't have very much - if any - muscle control and their arms and legs flail without them being able to control them. Swaddling actually helps limit this movement so the baby can relax and calm down. If your baby continues to squirm, and doesn't calm down after 5-10 minutes, take him out of the blanket and give him a few minutes to rest and try it again. Eventually, your baby will relax at the mere sight of a swaddling blanket.I decided to try it out and am glad I did. Check out their website if you're interested: www.miracleblanket.com/faq.htmAD-->should be getting paid for my endorsement!
